Another first appearance debate?

This seller looks like he or she's setting the market for this "first appearance" book. I believe I might have stumbled across a thread that mentions this book as a candidate for a "true first appearance". I can't recall.

 

Nonetheless, with no previously sell of this book on GPA. I guess the seller has every right to start the price where he sees fit. After all, an ESU professor of Comiclogy 101 told me once that:

 

Spidey + black suit + HG + "first appearance" = $$$

 

The price does seem a bit outrageous, but he has left the option out there with a BEST OFFER option.

There is no argument here. It isn't the first appearance of the Black costume because the one in Marvel Age isn't even the one that appears in the comics. Case closed.

I think that is quite generous. Why spend all that cash when I can get some 252's in 8.0 and have a matching set of coasters. That book is dead to me !!

- it's actually not tough to find that issue, especially in Marvel Age Lot auctions. Annihilus got a set of 1-60 last year for $20 + Shipping (purchased after the auction ended with no bids).
