my favourite storyline is "season in mist" issues 21-28 "doll's house" is really excellent too.

Listen to tha' Pimp. 'Sandman' is remarkable. The first trade is a little slow (but essential to the story), but it really picks up after that. One of the best series that you'll ever read. Highest Recommendation!

 

It's nothing like '1602', so to compare it would be silly. Pick up Sandman. You will not be disappointed.

Gaiman's Sandman series is Desert Island Comic Book Reading. It's great stuff and required for any level of comic book literacy.

It's the best series ever in my opinion. Just make sure you read it in order. Dont go picking up random trades.
