Ultra High Grade (9.8/9.6) Sub-Mariner Mania this Weekend on PedigreeComics.com!

2 posts in this topic

We have some great news: a major, mostly 9.8 and 9.6 Sub-Mariner run (over 40 issues between #1 and #72) will be listed this weekend in the New Arrivals section of the Pedigree Comics web site (www.PedigreeComics.com). These books are killer and almost every one is the highest graded copy on the CGC census. There are 16 9.8's to choose from starting with issue #'s 1 and 2 plus another 22 in certified NM+ (9.6)! Five copies in 9.4 round out this ridiculous 43 book run. There are many, many great books to choose from, too many to list in this space. As always, a few pedigrees will be represented in the run (mostly from the Oakland and Don Rosa collections) and more than two-thirds (a whopping 30 books) have snow white pages!! The highly sought-after #1 is one of the nicest copies in existence, a dead-on Near-Mint/Mint with white pages and no Marvel Chipping or tears.

This is the second incredible run of the popular late 1960's (May, 1968) to early 1970's (September, 1974) title to be featured on Pedigree Comics within 3 months (the first run from early June sold instantly at record prices). This group is superior and constitutes the absolute best Sub-Mariner set to ever be offered publicly for sale. In fact, if this Subby run was added to the CGC Registry, it would likely become the #1 ranked set (the current #1 set has only 5 9.8's).

The first portion (13 issues between #1 and #15) goes live on Friday afternoon and the rest of the run will hit the site on Saturday and Sunday. All 43 comics will be available to buy and bid on as none will be sold prior to the listing on the site. If you have any comments or questions, or would like to find out the exact listing of the books, please contact Pedigree CEO Doug Schmell at (561) 422-1120 or (561) 596-9111 or just email him at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com.
