Spirit Section - Regular comic size?

I've never held any of the original Spirit comic sections. I'm interested in buying one, but am curious about the size, so I know which mylar I need for it. Is it the same size as a regular golden age comic? Larger?

Some papers ran a super large size version that's about 50% larger.

Way too small, nor will it fit in a magazine size. I had to buy a special one from Bill Cole that is normally used for original art. They are not common in this size.

I keep mine in the golden age size or super gold. The extra large size is the same size as a tabloid newspaper. The first one below is regular gold and the second is Tabloid and too large for my scanner.

This is a comparison of golden age size to Spirit giveaway. I enjoyed the early strips. The comic covers by Quality usually featured the Spirit and Ebony.

Those look great. I didn't win the one I went after yesterday...but there will always be more. I'm a fan now after picking up the first volume reprint and the best of tpb.

Even if you don't collect the originals these stories are great reading -- buy or borrow the reprint collections if you can.
