Does anyone know why Dynamic Forces doesn't become a witness and get some of these slabbed? Seems like a missed opportunity, must be a story behind it.

That's a brilliant question! Especially considering how they tend to be real money grubbers (not that there's anything wrong with that.....)

 

I know they occassionally offer CGC SS items, but these sketches are, just like you said, a huge missed opportunity.

From I am told, these sketches were done at the homes of the artists and then sent to Dynamic Forces. Because of this they are not witnessed by a CGC witness.

Now this is strictly heresay but I thought there were exceptions to the rule, particularly coming from the artists' home/studio.

 

Have I misunderstood something or have I just dreamed this up?

There are exceptions but these books were recieved by DF from the artists and therefore were not eligible for SS. CGC does make exceptions for SS books to be submitted from artists but they must be sent from the artist directly to CGC, with an invoice filled signed and dated from the artist. DF did not go though that process.
