184 DCs To Go

Sensation Comics #59 seems to be back on your list.

An expensive copy is on comiclinkexpress.com although you probably already know about it.

Sensation Comics #59 (Edgar Church Copy)

There's also that coverless Detective 27 available that's going for less than $5k.

There are an additional 5-6 More Fun Comics on Comiclink's site as well. Most are really expensive... but 91 is $850. (I think you already know about these.)

Green Lantern #35 seems to be on Nostalgia Zone link

Doesn't list the series though. F for $45.

Flash 67 and 72 are also there but the series isn't stated link

It'd be helpful if you listed the places you are already actively searching on a regular basis (eBay, comic link, etc.)

IT'S BACK ON THE LIST BECAUSE WE BOUGHT ONE OFF E-BAY AND IT NEVER ARRIVED AND LOOKS LIKE IT'S LOST.

AS FOR COMICLINK, JOSH PROMISED ME EIGHTEEN ASSOERTED DCs TWO MONTHS AGO, AND STILL HASN'T PRICED THEM, AND THE ONLY ONE HE PRICED WAS WAY OVER WHAT I WAS BEING OFFERED FOR ANOTHER COPY. I'VE FOUND ANOTHER SIX OF THE EIGHTEEN REALLY CHEAP, AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE OTHER ELEVEN, BECAUSE SO MUCH TIME HAS GONE BY THAT I CAN'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.

There's also that coverless Detective 27 available that's going for less than $5k.

I WON'T BUY ANYTHING THAT'S COVERLESS, NOT EVEN THIS. I DON'T MIND IF THE BACK COVER IS MISSING BUT NOT THE FRONT.

EVERYTHING I'VE TRIED TO BUY OFF COMICLINK'S SITE HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD, INCLUDING THE SENSATION 16 AND HOUSE OF MYSTERY 27, WHERE HE ACTUALLY SENT ME AN INVOICE. MY OPINION OF COMICLINK IS SUCH THAT I'D BETTER SHUT MY MOUTH HERE AND NOW.

Green Lantern #35 seems to be on Nostalgia Zone

THAT'S THE SILVER AGE

Flash 67 and 72 are also there but the series isn't stated

ALSO SILVER AGE

It'd be helpful if you listed the places you are already actively searching on a regular basis (eBay, comic link, etc.)

E-BAY, METROPOLIS, HARLEY YEE, RICH MUCHIN, ROBERT ROGOVIN, JOE VERENAULT, SILVERACRE, DAVID ALEXANDER, MOTORCITY COMICS, LONESTAR, NOSTALGIAZONE, MILE HIGH, NEATSTUFF, JOHN VERZYL, GARY DOLGOFF, DOUG SULIPA, JOE NACCA, GOLDDUST, and obviously QUICKSILVER and COMICBIZ.

I'm amazed, as Tone at Nostalgiazone promised to let me know of anything off my list.

Apparently they came in and were sold so quickly that he never even knew they were there.

What a shame !!!!!!

Of course they weren't Silver Age. That was dumb of me - I wasn't even thinking. The only later Flashes repeating these numbers were the current series. I was just so sure that Nostalgiazone wouldn't have had them up there without telling me, that I never stopped to think earlier today. Now I realise my mistake. I was thinking of the Green Lantern comic being Silver Age not the Golden Age one, and didn't stop to think about the two issues of the Flash.

I've had a very lucky two days.

Vincent at Metropolis found me about ten more, and David Alexander came up with loads too, but I put back on the list eleven books that Josh Nathanson still hasn't priced, so if he comes up with them I'll take them, and if he doesn't then I'll look elsewhere.

So here's the bang up to date list of JUST 123 DCs TO GO. Then followed by the ancillary stuff of promos, previews, and giveaways, which I'm not actually counting as it's endless anyway.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

OK so everybody take bets on what the last 3 will be........Buzzy 70 and.......

My bet is Buzzy 70, The Big Book Of Fun Comics, and New Adventure 26.

Wouldn't it be funny if it was Cartoon Cartoons 2 and 3, and the Batman Legacy Trade Paperback ???

But also, do I count Double Action 1 as an actual comic ??? There's a question !!!!!!!!

I love this idea of you all betting.

PLEASE lets hear some more of your thoughts. Whoever wins deserves a Golden Age rarity as a prize.

In less than a month you've cut your want list in half. That's phenomenal.

Yes indeed Rob, but to be fair, that is ONLY down to this list.

I've located virtually a hundred comics which I would never have found if not for posting the list up on here.

Doug Sulipa contacted me directly off here, and I've had about forty off him.

Someone on here told me to contact David T. Alexander and I've just bought 26 off him.

Dan Cusimano sold me three very reasonale romance comics, two Girls Romances and one Secret Hearts.

West Stephan (Timely) found me some rare promos.

Allan Chao found me All American 2 and 4 in wonderfully affordable grades.

Plus lots of leads that led to finding stuff on the internet.

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST, AND YOU DESERVE THE CREDIT.

When I put the list up on here, I never dreamed I'd get so much wonderful help.

How can I begin to say thankyou ??

Are you any closer to determining the existence of some of the books on your list? I'm thinking specifically of Double Action 1, TofTT Ann 5, and Dragonlance Annual 1.

Unfortunately, NO.

I still have no idea whether Tales Of The Teen Titans Annual 5, and Dragonlance Annual 1 exist. Either they're staggeringly rare or they don't exist.

There is evidence to suggest they do exist, but practical reason is making me start to doubt it.

As for Double Action 1, I am absolutely CERTAIN that the artwork of the hooded ghoul is genuine. Whether it ever got printed - that's another question altogether.

Rich Muchin says there is an ashcan out there and he thinks he knows where it is.

Ian: Darth and I will be doing the Tysons show this weekend - can you send me, either by PM or here, sort of a ranking of books you want, and a price range? Tysons is a GREAT show for finding lower grade Golden Age books, and we might be able to find some of the stuff.

and now shameless plug: COME AND SEE THE DARTH-DONUT FIVE TABLE EXTRAVAGANZA - and an added bonus discount for the SNOW - this weekend

I need the whole list of the 123 to finish all the main DCs.

Just look for lower grades on the more expensive books. If a Date With Judy or a Buzzy is in high grade, it will still be under a hundred bucks. If you find a fair to poor copy of either Detective 27 or More Fun 52, I'm sure the price will be right.

The list MAY go down to 113, as Josh Nathanson, after two and a half months, has finally priced the comics, so I hope to buy eleven off him, although one of the eleven is an early GI Combat, and therfore isn't on the main list itself, so fingers crossed I can take them all off the list for a SECOND time..........

Anyway, Dan, as I've got to know you, I realise that whatever you find me will be the right price, just like those three romance comics you very kindly found for me, so PLEASE PLEASE just do your best, and thankyou.
