So what books are you watching in the comicconnect event auction?

116 posts in this topic

I've bid on a few books. What I've really noticed is a lot of the books that have reserves are not being bid on or only have a few bids leaving the price under $10.

Metro is going to have to rethink there auctions if they want them to work. I don't like sorting through all of "their" books that they have no intention of selling just to find the few that don't have reserves. Then again i'm a cheap arse and rarely pay over guide/GPA.

I'm broke, so I won't even watch

I'm not broke, and I won't even watch.

i'm not broke, won't watch, and won't view the thread that goes up here with auction wins once it's over.

[well, i am kinda broke]

I am bidding on the low grade Tec 12, been wanting a unrestored copy of that issue for a while. The 16 is the other one. Thank God I will have the funds to get one of these by the end of the month. If I win of course. Will be looking for a 37 down the line (almost any grade, Blue, purple, Green -any label does not matter)

i thought yo hated cleaned covers ronny :baiting:

The sumo guy was showing my anger that Jeff had an interest in pre hero tecs :makepoint:

Just giving you a hard time jeff :P

I'd never go after all of the pre-hero tecs, but there are a few covers, like the #12, that I really like. :hi:

I love the bound volumes up for auction.

I often regret selling the ones I used to have. They were all Silver Age, but cool. A couple of friends of mine pestered me until I sold them to them. Wish I still had them.

Are the binding jobs typically done by the comics' publishing company or by private collectors?
