Last I check Doctor Octopus knew SpiderMan's identity

Back in the late 90s there was a storyline where Doctor Octopus learned that Spiderman was Peter Parker......so why in these current storylines in Spectacular Spiderman and the two Doc Ock mini series does it seem he has no idea who spiderman really is?

He probably rejected the idea a wimp like parker could be Spiderman.

He probably thought it so absurd he said no way.

Kinda like Lex Luthor found out Supermans secret identity and rejected the idea he was Clark Kent

More likely the writers, following the "modern" tradition of ignoring continuity and abandoning the past, simply omitted it.

The better question is how many Doc Ock stories can Marvel come out with prior to the release of Spider-man 2 to cash in on all the hype? confused-smiley-013.gif What is with the sucker things on the new Doc Ock arms? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif Looks kind of stupid to me.

im going to sell all my doc ock issues

here's the thing....if you carefully read the aftermath to the Clone saga (as difficult as it was for all of us) Norman Osborn admits to hiring an actress to imitate Aunt May in her death throes while the REAL Aunt May was being held prisoner, VERY MUCH ALIVE. Thankfully, the person responsible for this outrage will never work in comics again.

So a corpse long dead these 25+ years is telling us about the exhuming of yet another corpse?

What's next, Gwen Stacy dating Bucky?
