Brittle Covers

8 posts in this topic

Going through a box of stuff, I found four pre-code horror comics that have slightly brittle covers.

The brittleness extends about 15mm (5/8 inches) in from the edges.

Two of them have the cover completely split in two!

Interior pages are not brittle, but are tan>brown.

Are they sellable?

Do the poor things have any collectibilty left?

Here is a scan of the oute edge of one of them:

(I don't want to be accused of trying to unload 'em in the wrong spot!)

This is the back cover of same:

Opinions?

Thanks.

Pre-code horror will sell for at least a few bucks even if coverless.

So what's better, offering them as coverless, or keep the covers on and have 'em shed those little pieces of paper every time you take one out of the bag! (Like little bits of skin! :insane:)
