Yep. Same for me, only it's been 30 years. In the last two since I've "returned" to the hobby, I'm almost done with my Adams Bats collection (combination of raw and slabbed). Was thinking about where to go after this and the Smith Conans are definitely on the list.

Great story and artwork. These are 2 of my favorite issues, congrats.

It's been 20+ years since I stopped collecting, but I guess I'm back in with this with this small acquisition...

Thanks! What made you come back? For me, it was looking through a few books again and noticed most of the bags and boards were in bad shape. Been spending the last few months replacing them with Mylites and acid free boards for the better books (not a cheap endeavor!). And by doing so, now remembered what was missing in my collection. Also, while looking up comic supplies, I found this forum and been in awe of these incredible books out there.

 

Started picking up a few Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow all those years ago, but never got around to the 76. Looked at the current prices and whoa... The Conan 23 and 24 was a much safer re-introduction for me (got 'em both for about the same as a tank of gas). Spent 20 years repairing my relationship, but I think my bank account may start hating me again soon!

A cheap win from last month's CL auction. Believe it or not, I've didn't even notice it was a pedigree until it came in today. Always thought this was the best Bats cover that Kaluta ever drew, although 'Tec 424 comes close.

Picked this up from Hibou. Just got a Gold grail just a few weeks before and wasn't planning another big purchase so soon. But with Hibou generously donating 25% of his sales a few weeks ago to Fazybones and this having a sweet dual signature... Guess after 20 years off, I'm back collecting again.
