I never realized I can afford the story by buying the Marvel Tales reprint (which has also a cool red cover, better than the yellow one, IMO)…

I am so happy the market for Conan books is so slow. It's allow me the opportunity to buy up some books I used to have when I was collecting in my teens. One of my faves.

That looks nicer than the second Marvel Tales reprint (issue 209), which has a different cover by Mike Zeck. I'm partial to the Gil Kane cover.

Just picked this up. I have a legit copy, but always wanted a counterfeit to go with it. Finally found one in the wild.

Thanks. Yeah Marvel Tales 106 looks much better than Marvel Tales 209 (but this has a great Mike Zeck cover) or Spectacular Spider-man 1000. But I do like the Wizard Ace Edition as well.

Wth a cover like that, you can now slab the original to sell for a profit.

 

What is most interesting to me is that both copies looks to be of the same condition in terms of cover gloss even though they were printed at different tims, did you bought them from the same place first hand?

Just received these two newsstand editions of X-Men 129 and Hulk 271 this week.

I bought a huge lot of UK Marvel mags on 6/2010 and never opened the box they came in.... When I bought this...I, of course said to myself...because I have OCD...I can collect every UK Marvel mag....the thought of doing that has given me a headache for three years...so I never opened the box.

 

Just opened the box today....three years later. Pretty cool first Wolverine cameo in there.
