No rust whatsoever - the staples saddle stitch and tines are a nice charcoal grey with metallic sheen. Just to be clear, there are no tears - that is a cbc you see on the lower right corner and fiber crease at the top edge, but the spine is super tight.

I think that the other gradings have been a bit harsh. 7.0
