Stan Lee was the most important creator in comic history.

:roflmao:

:screwy:

I knew I would get :flamed: for that. 'specially in a GA thread. I can't think of any other creator that had a hand in so many great characters but I'm pretty sure you will suggest some.

Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Superman, Thor, Antman, Xmen......quite a body of work.

I love GA and the many great characters also. :foryou: Merry Christmas.

I'm still pissed that we only got ten GA S&K Cap issues thanks to Stanley Lieber outing them.

Kirby wasn't over rated but he couldn't draw a superhero to save his life.

:screwy:

He drew animals and scenery really nice, though.

:cloud9:

Funny, I didn't think Kirby could draw animals. Imagine how cool Scrooge and Donald Duck would have been if Kirby had drawn them first.

I wonder what they'd look like.

Don Heck RULEZ! He drew gorgeous women, and his work on the Iron Man stories on The Avengers is the best ever. Not like that crapola the hacks like Colan and Buscema did after he moved on.

Anyone with a different opinion is a big ol' loser.

Don Heck would have been more appropriately named Don Hack. :sumo:

Seriously, one of the WORST to ever put pencil to paper.

Yes but Raboy was lame however. Thank God he could pencil though.

Surprised no one has yet corrected me. It's of course not Raboy who was "lame" but Lou Fine. Fine's left leg was crippled as a result of a polio bout when he was in his early teens.

Here's a pic of Fine circa 1942 (from AE # 17). He was 27 at the time -

AWP!

This is the grievances department.

Embarrassing confessions are down the hall, third door on the left.

JPS

Well I better rush down there and confess that Hawkgirl made me horny...
