I just recently purchased 2 books from "greatermagic", totaling $300.00 or so..

Sorry that you had such a bad experience, in your opinion, but I give kudos where they are deserved. My transaction with "greatermagic" was none less than top-notch. He shipped them fast and bomb proof packaging. I would most certainly buy from the seller again, no qualms....just my 2-cents

 

P.S. but they were CGC books so maybe he deals different with raw books?

What I've gotten in the habit of doing lately with my eBay auctions is to set the starting price at a percentage or amount a little below GPA. That way, if I do sell the item, I'm guaranteed of not taking a bath on it plus I avoid eBay's reserve price fee. I've sold a lot of comics this way and yes, I often sell at the starting price. But I save fees this way and also avoid the worry of whether the item will meet reserve or not.
