Of courrse cc has an extended bidding time. I have seen it in every auction but what if all the top bidders justy throw in low 300k bids in the last minutes of the first time the auction ends and then they hit their max bids in the extended period to win it at a reasonable price. Of course cc would hate that but hey , everyone wants to pay less compared to top premium dollar.

How secure would you feel pouring your retirement savings that were held in CD accounts, into one or two big books?
I would 100% recommend AGAINST putting any type of retirement into a comic book doh!

purchases like this need to be disposable income...

Just the thought of this puts a lump in my throat... Disposable $ only IMO. If I told my wife that we're going to put "our future" in a couple valueable comic books, I think she would slap me silly. :screwy:

Me personally- knowing that I want an Action 1 just makes strive to become really rich. One day I will own an action 1. I do not want to put all my money into a book , I want to put extra money I have into a book.

As in sprinkler system going off in the safety deposit box room and flooding your box. I don't care how well things are sealed, water always finds a way.

I'm betting most people would have an item like this insured and well protected...if not, well that's not taking a risk...that's stupidity.

I wish my retirement account had AF#15 shares in it, at least I wouldn't be down 40% year-over-year. :P

You may want to look at what your insurance policies say about safe deposit boxes. Not all are the same. If it doesn't specifically protect books stored in SDB's, then find one that does.

No way. I'm putting the kid's college fund into this acquisition.
