I hope to be calling you Little Mike soon.

Best of luck and let us all know you progress.

I was think ing of the bypass surgery, but I found a program that

actually worked for me in Weight Watchers.

I am 55 lbs lighter than what I was last August and I hope to

be 100 lbs lighter by this August.

I am losing about 2 lbs a week so we'll see...

Wish me luck, I'm trying to become little wally.

good luck mike. this is a major decision. putting aside extra high BP or diabetes, which I can't deduce from your picture, from the look of you this should work out. you're not so big that you're at such a big risk for complications. honestly, from the pic, did the doctors think that maybe you weren't bad off enough or nowadays are they doing this for anyone who is a solid 75 pounds+ overweight?

while i have a ways to go before seriously considering this (my health insurance wouldn't cover it anyway and I have no additional complications (high BP, diabetes) -- is your insurance covering this?

I too need to lose about 75 pounds to get back to the weight I was when I began dating my wife 8 years ago (somewhere in the "what do you look like" thread is a pic of me back then), which would be absolutely perfect for me (despite what those BMI charts say -- if I weighed what they say I should weigh (165 pounds) I would look like a corpse -- last time I got down to 200 pounds a friend asked me if I had cancer or AIDS). but before that i need to follow a serious plan of diet and exercise to see if it is necessary. the last time I tried I had no problem losing a lot of weight, I just go lazy and gained it back and then some. but I'm older now, so who knows? anyway, i need to do it, defintely, like you i have a kid and at 3 1/2 I can still hang with him, I don't want him running circles around me when he's 5.

Who's saying it is? I am wishing him well while letting him know that

we're in the same boat, almost like one alcoholic saying to the other

that they are beating their demons and wishing them well.

It wasn't but a couple of weeks ago, I started a thread about

wishing people in Kentucky well. I didn't have to do that, but I like the people

here so I did. I know you are from Kentucky (and even though I know you are

harboring something against me, I personally wished you well).

SO stop being such a friggin' hater, you'll feel better I promise you.
