I just have to say something. It's just too easy.

Did you just ask to go up or down on head games? Mind in the gutter but come on lol

On another note I am just packing up my 1st L&K CGC submission. 25 issues with doubles of the 1st arc.

lol Yes I did but the dumb blonde didn't think about it that way while typing it...

25 issues - wow! - are they from all arcs (Locke & Key, Head Games, Crown, etc....)

2 of each of the 1st series, one of each Head games and some Crown. Nothing from the latest arc.

Maybe. I don't know if I can settle for 3rd place. (shrug)

We started our sets in the very beginning of L&K... and Jerel - even before me. It's not about what place I'm in - it is that I have what I like to collect. I purchased a lot of his undercopies because he wasn't into SS, but he had them. I've sold gem mints to buy my SS copies cuz blue isn't my favorite color. :whee:

I don't mind a little competition or being in 3rd place either. I've got to a point in this set where I don't care anymore. lol

I have sold many undercopies, a lone SS 2nd print 9.9, the other Gem Mint 10 of #1 and numerous other uber SS books. People know I am such a stickler for a perfect book, that even a lone CGC 10 book in a Gem Mint holder that is really a 9.8 in condition will be cracked out and regraded as such( :gossip: L&K: COS #2). Points be damned. :sumo:

I am just trying to build a perfect run of books and at the end of the day, I won't have to spend some insane BIN eBay price of $5,000 for a Gem Mint of #1. This might be an all time first on here too. The #1 fan of the comic series that is gonna be turned into a TV series, owns the top census mint book. That alone makes me feel good, especially in the wallet. That and the support of many friends here who have helped me achieve my goals since 2008. You guys are the real #1 winners of any Registry Award, I might pick up. Thank you. :applause:

Looks like there is another sheriff in town.

I had to let Deputy Salem go for illegally swiping a few bags of catnip from the evidence locker.

Do I need to go UP or DOWN? Head Games #3? If that's not right - just tell me lol!
Yes, you are correct. This was the first L&K book made from untreated paper stock for embossing. It is prone to severe spinal flaking and blunted corners. Which is a shame, because it is one of my all-time favorite covers from the series. It's why when I saw Steve's rare G-Rod sig alone on it, I jumped to purchase it, despite being a 9.6. I doubt we will ever see another book grade past 9.8 in it. I have bought upwards of over 20 books so far looking for one. :frustrated:

It's a sweet book, and the only SS to date for that issue. I can't believe how incredibly low the submission numbers are for Head Games, etc.

I still kick myself today for not bidding higher on that #3 2nd print!!! Grrrrrr....

It's great to be in a hobby where other fellow collectors look out for you and help you achieve your collecting goals. I absolutely love L&K, and wouldn't have the set I do without your help Jerel, and several others on this Board and a few specific eBay sellers... :)
