He revised his listing.

Check out the new listing title and description.

Hmmmm... I don't see any CGC books in those photos.

As well, he gives a grade number for the first few "CGC" books, but then I guess he got tired of typing numbers, so the last few are just CGC MINT ... or even better, "CGC N.MINT in plastic - never removed".

Another classic line: "Almost every one has, but the first few have never been removed from their plastic covers." (shrug):screwy:

They all look good to me, but that is just my opinion.

Nearly all comic books look GREAT from a distance of 10 feet...

That reminds me of Gerber's grading method - hold the book at arm's length distance, then grade.

Dang, grading is getting tougher every year as my eyes deteriorate....., :sorry:

Dear Sir.

I know nothing about grading comics. Just selling all my old collections.

I might have misused CGC ??? what ever that means - was just copying other's

auction notations. If CGC cases means plastic cases, they are all in plastic

slip covers. If you look at the 2ed pic. you'll see the three treasury editions at the

top. Pics of #3, 10 12 1nd 13 are in the front closeup picture. Will try to send some -

using friends camera and computer - can only do so much.

OK, now that's iritating. He says that they are CGC 9.8, not only is it a blatant untruth but he doesn't even know what it means. Should get the auction pulled, I've got no sympathy for the insufficiently_thoughtful_person.

Boy you Hawkeye avatar characters are tough cookies. lol

It is BS that he copied information into a book listing and had no idea what the heck he was doing. What would his excuse be if one of us bought the lot? Well, you should have asked me for pictures and then we both would have realized there were no CGC books?

ROSS needs to get his story straight.

Here's Hawkeye's (aka drewincanada) reply to ROSS via email:

Ross,

Yes, you've misused the term CGC. CGC is a third-party grading service.

Once they grade the comic, they encase it in a multi-layered, hard-shell

plastic case. CGC comics generally sell for more than non-graded comics

because the condition of the comic has been verified by a third-party.

Your use of the term CGC, as well as their grading system (e.g. "9.8") is

irresponsible and fraudulent. I would advise you to remove all references to

"CGC" as well as the grading scores.

You also state that you are selling 46 comics + three extras. However,

there are only 33 comics in the complete Howard the Duck series, plus the

three extras you describe. That makes a total of 36 comics. Your photos

do not show a total of 49 comics. I suggest that you recount the comics

you are selling and correct this.

If you do not revised your listing, I will report your auction to both Ebay and

CGC. I imagine that the Certified Guarantee Company (CGC) would wish

to protect its name and reputation.

Thank you.
