I like when the owner of an LCS told me this past weekend how worthless these bronze age comics are.

 

What I think is happening is that someone is trying to pick up the entire Rocky Mountain run at all costs to keep it complete as possible. There are probably several bidders on the ones with fewer copies in 9.6/9.8 (non-Rocky Mountain bidder and Rocky Mountain bidder) driving prices through the roof and on the copies with multiple copies in higher grades mostly just Rocky Mountain bidders with the "regular run" collectors sitting it out.

 

These are prices that nobody could ever foresee.

Those same two House of Secrets 92's sold at the last auction. Same cover miswrap, same CGC case scratches. I know, because I bid on both and lost.
