Wow, ASM 151 9.6 end price

I was tracking this auction and am not totally surprised by the final bid. This has to be one of the toughest ASM books in the bronze age to find in 9.6. I have submitted no fewer than half a dozen "gems" only to be disappointed and get no higher than a 9.4. Regarding the stack from Native NewYorker??? I purchased from his stack and got no higher than 9.4. Believe me, it's a tough book to get an elusive 9.6!!!

Nice comparison. Interesting to note that the 151 has only one more graded 9.6 (3) than the 52 with neither having a 9.8 yet.

That issue doesn't come up for sale as much as the surrounding issues. I recently sold some of my Spideys and there is definitely fierce competition out there from those who desire high graded CGC copies.
