The seller's ad is very explicit re JIM 84. States the condition "appears to be" with no disclaimer about color touch or possible resto.

I picked up a nice copy of this one in the same condition for about $165.00 about a year ago. The seller specifically said it had water damage on the cover, but didn't know where the water came from as the storage conditions were dry. When she described the damage as "waves" on the cover, I knew it was only humidity damage and not an ugly water stain that I'm sure many potential bidders were imagining. I've put this comic at the bottom of about 100 issues, and the minor ripple is slowly disappearing. So, it'll be interesting for me to see what this one goes for.

 

The similarities between that and this auction, is he's putting doubt into some of the people interested in this, simply by the way it's described and I am thinking that will hurt the final price.
