Is Rock 'N Roll Comics Magazine in the OSPG anywhere?

8 posts in this topic

I can see the regular series listed (1-65), but don't see any reference to the news-stand magazine release in 1990 (B&W interiors) or how many of them there were.. Am I just missing it? According to the article on the interior, it's the same company that made the regular comic size series.

Here's #1:

I think Overstreet requires that a publication contains a certain percentage of actual comics material in it. That's why they don't list magazines like Famous Monsters, because they don't contain actual comics (sequential art), but they do include magazines like Creepy and Eerie that are mostly comics.

However, I would think that these Revolutionary magazines would be listed, because they do contain comics, don't they? What is the exact title listed in the indicia?

Not sure about OSPG for that book, they tend to gloss over a number of magazines, just look at Famous Monsters, it started in 1958 and they still don't list them in OSPG.

At any rate, you can find some price guesses here...

Think that's kind of low on these. They are a lot tougher to find than the comics.

I usually get $5-$10 range

Sold three this past weekend.

The exact title listed in the indicia is: Rock N' Roll Comics Magazine is published by Revolutionary Comics, Inc.

Not only does it contain comics, it's entirely comics.
