I just tell my girlfriend they are all buck books

Bruce

..and one day she's going to pick them up and say, "if they're only a dollar, you won't mind if I do THIS!" as she rips them in half.

Why did she ask you to not buy anything? Why did you promise her you would not if that was not your intention? Sounds all mess up to me. Finances and comic purchases are always out in the open with me and the missus, and we have zero problems.

unless invoices come with them and she has opened them up, i'd say you made some trades as you are not allowed to buy any new stuff. of course, if she forces you to show her your paypal info or she looks into your ebay account, you might be up the creek.

but with a trade, it's just you spending postage (no small matter, true). i've used "trade" as an explanation for the last couple of boxes, i think my wife sort of believes me, as I have used comic trades to get stuff she actually likes (like getting a shiverbones painting for some GA)

Give her some good loving!

Yeah that'll work. "Honey, listen, I know you're mad that I blew the mortgage payment on funnybooks, but can we have s*x now please?"

Well, if you are not an expert in the good loving department it obviously won't work for you :insane:

I'm not married but..... tell the truth to her? (shrug)

(thumbs u

Don't lie to her because it only makes things worse and she won't trust you like she does now.

It's always easier to say your sorry than to ask for permission..
