Iron Man #5

Hello All:

 

I am new to the boards, I friend of mine who has got me back into comics and has been teaching me a bit about how to tell not so good (basically ) from something worth collecting.

 

That said, I recently got my hands on an issue of Iron Man #5.

 

I wanted to get some opinions about whether to send this in to CGC or not. From what little I do know, I thought this comic might be worth sending in for grading.

 

Based on the opinions of board members I have read so far, your assessments would be welcome in helping me learn more.

Welcome To The Boards. The scans are way to small to make a educated guess at. Try getting a photobucket account and go from there.

I'll take a stab and say 8.5 - looks like a small ding lower left corner and a touch of staple stress...

Looks like a nice copy . . . but scans are too small to really tell.

Try not to crop the scans so closely to the book either, a border around the book gives a better feel of the edges and spine (thumbs u

Thanks for the advice on the scans, I will center it in the scanner next time versus using the edge of the scanner.

Tough to tell with the close cropping, I'd have a guess at 7.0

I'll get a better scan with it centered this evening.. hopefully that will give a better picture of the condition of the book..

7.5 possible 8.0 (if the BC spine was lightly dry-cleaned) - not a slabbing candidate, but a solid collectible copy. (thumbs u
