Looks like a strong 9.2-9.4. Defect at the top middle front cover holds it back, IMO. That and the fact that this is the most common SA spidey to find in high grade means all the hardcore guys already have one (16 in 9.8). One of the HG grails from this period is the issue right before this one---ASM #63...still no 9.8 for it yet.

I was thinking more of a 9.0/9.2, I just don't like the look of the top of the book, front or back. Still a great book though (thumbs u

Is there staining at the top of the back cover?

Only at the top right. The rest appears to be light dirt. I was wondering if the wonderbread technique would work?

Foxing will bring it down but no lower than 9.0 it is a nice copy!
