this is an absolutely beautiful copy...except someone put tape over both the staples.

 

I started to carefully remove the tape on the bottom but stopped when I reached the black line..

 

Just curious about opinions of how this would grade with the tape? and then without if I can get it removed with no trace...

I would get in touch with a good restorer. Get there expert opinion on the tape. Most likely it can be removed with little to no trace of it ever being there. It would be worth the effort on a book like this. 9.0 IMHO. Nice book.

Yeah, qualified 9.0, probably. Pity about the tape, ask Ze-man about taking it off.

Have you checked to see if there was tape put in the centerfold?

Ze-Man is a fellow boardie, he works with Matt Nelson (@Classics Incorporated) I believe. Nice guy, he might be able to advise on the tape.
