Classics Illustrated Questions

The books are held on with rubber bands that hook on to the pins - just unhook the rubber bands from the little silver pins at the top and bottom. Be careful that you don't pop yourself in the mouth. The binders sell for $10-20 on eBay, depending on the mood of the buyers at the time. Any first print Classics in there? Let me know!

Doesn't look like the special binders, looks more like the comics were bound into volumes privately, common enough back in the day. But the way they are bound all but ruins the individual books, sometimes the spines are shaved completely and cannot be removed, other times they can be removed but the resulting spine wear (and stiching holes) leaves the comics in low grade condition only.

If you have some that have a 10-cent cover price (the first prints) they might be worth removing from the binders for individual sale. Otherwise leave them bound and sell them as a lot.

Those are private binders, somebody went to the expense of putting them together into books. From the images, you have later printings - the Benjamin Franklin, for example, is a 1969 printing. They are essentially worthless individually, but somebody might want the set. If there is a 70 or a 73 in there, those only had one printing, so that would pop the value of the book up.
