Anyone remember MR Monster?

Mr. Monster fan here, love the Dave Stevens cover. There is one 3-D issue that was harder to find than the others, so be aware.

 

I hadn't heard this. Know which one?

 

Mr. Monster's Triple Threat 3-D (3-D Zone)

 

They pop up once in a while, but not nearly as easy to locate as the rest of Mr. Monster titles. They don't seem to command a premium though, so if you're patient as most seem not to have noticed this yet, guess there's not enough Mr. Monster collectors out there to notice the slight scarcity. None on CPG or eBay (or have been for a couple months) currently, might want to check MileHigh or MyComicShop though.

I have #7 sitting in my office...it must have been a hot title given that in the "back issue" section you could order Mr. Monster #1 for a mere $25 in 1985 dollars!

Oh yeah. At one point, Vanguard Illustrated 7 and MR Monster 1 were hot books during the 80's independent craze.

 

I am now on the hunt for an HG Vanguard Illustrated 7. Thanks, Nick.

 

 

It is a super issue, and I am well covered now on a few high-grade copies as of the past few weeks.
