Yeah, the French have done well this year. Too many mountain stages are beneficial too the break-aways this year. The GC contenders aren't going to chase down the breaks, only control them, and the sprinters are getting dropped on the climbs and taking the auto-bus in, so they aren't capable of chasing down the breaks.

 

It makes for a better Tour for the team sponsors, but takes a lot of the excitment out of it.
