I wonder if this is the copy Rick sold over a year ago. That is a very soft 9.0 compared to the others. Look at that crease in the top left corner/edge. The spine dings are fine, but how does a book get a 9.0 with all of that top edge damage?

I know people say it all the time but it really does seem that CGC has gotten softer at the upper tiers. 2 examples that just stuck out to me recently are the 9.4 X-Men 1 that Clink has up right now for auction. Also if you think this 9.0 Showcase 22 looks bad (and it does look bad with that wear at the ULFC) check out the Twin Cities Action 252 9.0. For my book not better then an 8.0. http://comics.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=7033&Lot_No=91002

The damage along the top edge of that new 9.0 SC #22 looks the same as a couple of 7.5s I have owned in the past......... The new SC22 9.0 has bright colors and decent centering but there is a printing defect on the right side green spot under the "comic code". Shall one say " a strong 8.5 in a 9.0 holder" on a good day.
ngh81
I apologize if this has been mentioned in this thread already. There is a low grade 2.0 (restored) copy of SC#22 in the April auction right now on Comiclink. If someone is looking to own a relatively cheap copy of this book, this would be a good example. kimik
All in all, the Twin Cities books look to be more tightly graded than those Savannah books were. After receiving the two Savannah books I won with stink bids, I really wish I had left them alone...........

Sounds like how I felt after winning a couple Mounds City books, which IMHO, were also graded loose. I wish I had never got involved with that auction. showcase22gr1959
I agree the Savannah are not that fresh looking. The great stand out bargain books from the MC collection is the AF15 (now a 9.0), X-men 1 (now a 9.6). The Twin Cities books are fresh with bold colors. Hoping to add one Spidey from that collection. Really enjoy looking at them.
