Hairline Cover Tears

I have a few very recent books in which I noticed a hairline tear about one eighth to one quarter inch long on the cover that "wraps" to front and back cover. It is usually very difficult to see at first, but my guess is it is a bindery tear, as the cover is slightly miswrapped. Would this get a qualified label?
