Action Comics 266 9.0

$325

Brian I think this might be a White Mountain copy. The 1960 -script looks to be the same as on comparable copies from the same year.

Maybe... I probably should sub it and find out. okay, let's take the Action 266 off the market.

Hey Brian are you saying that CGC will be able to research if it is a white mountain or not? That is pretty cool. Would you hve to tell them to check it or would they just automatically look into it? I have a TOS 52 that I suspect of being an Ohio ped but have not been able to trace it back for sure.

These books have been discussed before and I'm pretty sure the consensus was that they are not WM copies (although I couldn't find the link). I'm sure Bob Siman can offer some more info as I picked one up from him a couple of years ago (and it doesn't have any of the characteristics I'd associate with a WM book....):

I would ask cgcworld (Jim) for his opinion as he was THE White Mountain collector for Marvels from the early 1960's on up and is also involved in helping Matt Nelson and Stephen Ritters with the book on Pedigrees.

To me the hand writing looks the same although I agree that this may not be enough.

I'm not an expert on the DC's but I'd assume it was the WM copy as well.

Just my DC'ish opinion, but even if it came back WM, with slabbing costs I don't think you would do any better than the price you were already asking. Just my 2c

I have no idea -- but I bought this from a long time collector who actually used to post here every now and again... that being said, I'll submit and see what Mark can tell me.

you sold an Action #270 many, many months ago which also looked like a WM. there were often arrival dates on the splash page.
