How do you get those darned &#%$ stickers off CGC cases?

Are you guys using old school fingernails and back and forth tape to get those wretched stickers off?

 

Or are you resorting to MrBedrock's jackhammer and blow torch method (mentioned in an old thread)?

 

Is there a better a way? Goo gone...alcohol?

Goo Gone and a cotton swab. Put it on. Let it soak. Peel it off. WD40 does the same thing. Take a little window cleaner and clean the residue off with a paper towel.

Someone also recommended Meguiar's Cleaner Wax to buff out any minor rubs or scratches when you are done.

 

I haven't tried this yet.

How long do you let it soak?

 

I tried one hour, but still the darn Metropolis sticker clings to the slab like soggy underwear. Only when I fingernail scrape the bulk of the sticker off until my fingers are raw does the goo gone do any good on the remaining residue.

 

I'm just having a bad day...

 

If their goal was to find the most permanently adhesive sticker as possible, I don't think they could have done better.

I clamp mine in a vise and use a Makita belt sander. Takes it right off.
