Stephen King's "The Stand" comic book reference

6 posts in this topic

On Wikipedia it is written "In Stephen King's novel The Stand, a character reads a Howard the Duck comic and is bewildered by the concept. In the 1990 reissue of the book, the comic was changed to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Does anyone have a copy of The Stand that can't point me to the chapter with either of these references? I am reading the book myself now and found a Superboy reference but languishing on page 500 with 300 pages to go and haven't seen anything yet. !pleH zzz

Have to admit to loving some Howard the Duck myself - still can't figure out why - I read the Stand back in the 70's and when it was reissued, but my memory is a jangled mess - so no help here - just wanted to say WTTB!
