Pressing does not reverse color breaking creases, which this book has (HAD) plenty. Looks like CT was also done to make the book look better.

Where do you see colour touch?

Look carefullu where there were major creases and especially right in-between the Hulk and Thing. A black cover book with creases like that will show up even more pronounced after a pressing. Notice how they are all completely gone? Check the top right corner of the FC very closely.

Yep I see where two round darker shades are and looks like one of the lines was coloured in now that I look closer. I was pondering ct because I think he did it to an other book before too. Can't really tell with that corner with an angle.

I am surprised he did all that work but didn't ct the spine.

It appears that he uses low res scans and off angle shots to maximize the "quality" of his work. Never quite showing enough detail to get a full picture of how complete the transformation is. Nice spot on the CT, he seems to have a total disregard for when "too much" is.

Still continues to work on high-end books: http://www.comicspriceguide.com/boards/Topic66327-22-2.aspx

Thanks Tex, I really wanted that issue and was super excited to learn it was mine. I should point out that I have restored allot of books for him all of them being high profile stuff (I think thats all he collects). If I was on the street corner with a sign it would read "Will work for comics". stooges.gif

He butchered that Daredevil 40. Removing the surface dirt is great, but causing creases, missing pieces, and tears in the process is not what I call restoration. doh!

Wow, that book got tortured. lol The whites look better but man, it took a beating!

He is now blaming me for everything. This should be interesting.

and now he's dropping off books at PGX for encapsulation.

he's a one-man primer on how NOT to do things. and he's got a posse, albeit a small one.

Oy Vey

Yeah I'd noticed that, I dread to think how many of his butchered books will end up in blue PGX labels. Thank God I don't buy PGX, but I can imagine a fair few people getting suckered along the way.

He's sank as deep as he can go now, and after all the 'feedback' he's received he's proved he's just another budding Dupcak.

What did the dunce do to the top staple?

Notice how he conveniently cropped it out of the close up pic.

Looks like it pulled the staple through it or something.

He's a peach! :roflmao:
