First up, a book I have listed here before, and discounted yet again.

 

 

KEEN DETECTIVE FUNNIES #21 June 1940, raw 5.5 with OW to White pages

 

Just a solid book, with outstanding PQ, due probably to some slight water staining to back cover (which slightly ripples some of the pages in the book, but nothing significant). CF attached at top staple only (attached by one prong).

 

Beauty of a book, tough to find. Cool “EYE SEES!” story.

FANTASTIC ADVENTURES June 1940 approx. VG condition

 

Nice pulp with WEIRD cover! The usual wear to the edges of the covers. Full unfaded spine with minor wear on ends. Good supple creamy paper, slightly darkening towards edges. Book falls limp in hand.

DETECTIVE WORLD Jan. 1948 approx. G/VG condition

 

Cool full face girlie cover, full spine, minor overall wear. Creamy darker but very supple pages (paper is slicker than newsprint but below slick magazine quality).

 

Bed sheet sized crime mag!

WONDER STORIES Dec. 1932 approx. GD condition

 

Classic Paul cover. Pulp is complete, but about 70% of spine is split. Cover is staple bound (unusual for a pulp), and staples are still hanging onto interior of pulp. Paper is nice supple light tan, with slight darkening at edges.

Solid, lower grade pulp, with wild alien squid cover. Dust shadows on cover, spine complete with some minor wear and soiling. Pages are supple and cream colored, darkening at edges.

Great eye appeal, cool space jelly fish cover. Minor wear overall, complete spine. Interior pages are a bit dark, but still pretty supple.

GREAT Wesso cover, tougher early Astounding. Light overall wear to covers and spine (spine lightly soiled). Good tanning paper, going cream towards outer edges. Still supple. Untrimmed.

 

Great early sci-fi.
