I've been on eBay for years. I believe proper etiquette is to not inform buyers and wait several weeks for the complaints to pile up before telling anyone you were sick and unable to rush off to the post office, preferably trying to make the buyers feel like for asking where there stuff was.

 

 

I guess going out of your way when you should be in bed taking care of yourself is also acceptable.
