Re: X-men # 94 - Help me grade again?

Thanks to all that help me grade the X-men #94 in my previous post. Can you guys reassess this book now that I've uploaded the bc.

The census based on the fc scan from our members were 9.0 - 9.4.

 

Based on the bc cover, I see:

 

Seven spine stress marks

 

Top part of top staple has a staple crease

 

Bottom staple – I can’t tell if that’s an ink smudge, a slight tear or a crease. No matter what it is, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

 

Top section of spine – miniscule indentation on top edge of book near spine

 

What do you guys think?

8.5, could be an 8.0 if they decide to hammer it like they do ASM 122.

FC is a 9.0 - 9.2, BUT the BC is 8.5... so 8.5

i think 8.5 is pretty good for this book now that we can see the back cover.

 

that thing with the bottom staple is troubling as it looked like a tear at first glance. if so, down to a 7.5 or so.........otherwise i agree 8.0 - 8.5 overall.

CGC does not hammer down that bad on any of the BC defects (assuming that's ink at the staple) and I still say CGC 9.0 or better.
