Jay Company Comics - No Response

Has anyone dealt directly with Jay Company Comics?

 

On Sept 26th, I placed an order on their website for 5 books. 3 of the books were the Amazing Spider-Man #606 Long Beach Comic Con Exclusive- Campbell.

 

When the order arrived, there was only 1 copy of the Amazing Spider-Man #606 Long Beach Comic Con Exclusive- Campbell.

 

I have used their online messaging system to send them messages, I have sent them emails and I have left voice messages, but no response.

I've known them for 10 years, and as frustrating as I know that is...and I certainly wouldn't give them repeat business after that....they're good people, and, though a tad disorganized, you'll get the books eventually.

 

Don't wait out the (usual) 2 month time limit on chargebacks, though.

I am having the same problem with jay company. I put in two orders with 4 copies each of the ASM #606 LBCC around late September. A few weeks later two packages arrive with one comic book In each box. I am still short 6 copies. I've been trying to email and call them but have not gotten anything back.

Exactly - they need to polish their Customer Service skills. A simple response to my messages.

"Sorry - we ran out - we expect more in 'x' weeks"

or

" Sorry - we will issue you a refund"

 

Heck - I would even take store credit.

 

Just don't leave your customers in the dark!

Bill has been going through some family stuff lately and may be so deeply into it that he is not working regularly. He is good people and I would say he won't cheat you for sure, and that you will get your books eventually or your money back.

At the risk of sounding heartless...I think everyone with long overdue orders should run chargebacks, perhaps then they will improve their business model.

 

I'm as sympathetic as the next guy, but unless you're in a coma yourself you can take a few minutes to answer some email inquiries, or at the very least set up an automated response acknowledging the customers and giving a brief explanation. If a guy asks for slack I have no problem accommodating them, but if they take my money then flat-out ignore me they will have a problem.
