DC/Milestone Books

I know the 90s comics seen as sort of a "Depression Era" for comics. Gimmick covers, Image, mass production of books, etc. It was the time I quit collecting myself.

 

But upon coming back into collecting about 2 yrs ago, the few that know me, know that I have one primary collecting focus of keeping small, tight collection of strictly first apps. A good deal of Captain America-centric, and finally black comic book characters. These tow are a true passion of mine.

 

Whcih brings me to D.C./Milestone movement of the early 90s...Static, Icon, Hardware, etc. From browzing the CGC census, it doesn't seem that there are many of these slabbed (most likely becuase its not worth it). I believe GPA had even less info on movement of these books last I checked (no longer have GPA).

 

Does have these books in HG? Or can anyone provide any info on any possible leads?

I have a copy of Hardware from a small collection I bought. The whole thing was pretty minty, definetely collected, not read. I'll chck to see if it's a #1. Think I have Icon in there too.

I think I have them all, including a couple sealed ones. They were actually pretty good reads.

My Hardward #1 was a .50 bin book after all, and the Icon was #10, vs. Supes. Just a small glimpse at the depth of my collection.

I was a large fan of Milestone back in the 90's. Picked them all up a at the time and still have the full set of all titles/issues. There was not a single title in that line I did not like.

Absolutely. I stopped collecting but this was the best stuff I remember reading in the 90s. It was refreshing actually.

To each his own...but most would agree with you since they didn't last very long.

 

But I probably like quite a few stories/artist/characters that most don't. So that sentiment doesn't surprise me.
