(12) Long Boxes of Coverless Comic Books...

7 posts in this topic

I have (12) twelve long boxes of coverless and comic book store "remainders"...

I'm looking for some ideas of what I should do with them...

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

If you have any ideas, let me know...

It all depends on the era.

For Golden Age books, list those puppies on EBay in small lots and you'll likely do well. I sold a few awhile back and was amazed at the bids (likely people building books/replacing centerfolds, etc.).

For Silver Age, try and find the keys (if any) and separate them and list on EBay. For all the other general Silver books, sell them in bulk.

Anything newer than 1970 or so, you will probably have trouble selling, unless you've got a box of coverless Hulk 181's.

One, two-part suggestion:

> If your library or local school has an after school reading" program, talk with the folks in charge. See if you can donate the books you don't want to help some kids get a better education.

> Take the tax deduction (next year) for a charitable contribution.

Feel good about what you've done.
