I have always thought, the terrible string of movies that have come out since 1999, have a lot to do with it.

What do you think is going on with the greens on your copy? Was it just a color strike without much blue in it?

Bet they're darker in hand:

I took a look at a few other scans online, and I do see some with darker greens but many others whose colors are similar to mine. I see no evidence at all that the book's colors are faded by exposure to sunlight or whatever. There are certain books that are well known for minor color variations, and my understanding was always that X-Men #1 was one of them. But I wouldn't claim to be an expert on this. namisgr
Doesn't look faded to me, so I think it's just from variations in the color strike. It's a great copy. Edited October 21, 2017 by namisgr
blazingbob
X-men #1 goes from Dark Green to light green depending on where in the print run it was. Yours is considered a light green copy. Silver Surfer #2 is another book that can look very different depending on where it was in the print run. Primetime

Perhaps that color ran low on the press faster at that time, because the green monster on FF1 is another tough to find in dark green...

Its an awesome copy. This discussion made me go back and check the greens of my copy. It looks like Nic was picky about the green boxes on this issue lol. Light / dark green variations...
