But what you're referring to is already being done with animation - the Batman, Superman, Justice League, Brave & Bold, etc. animated series did exactly that, as well as the line of animated movies from both DC and Marvel.

Animation is not real enough though.

These movies are now virtual comics with the terrific CGI.

This was the stuff of dreams just a few short years ago, now it's like living in the future. It's almost surreal how real it is.

There is just too much money in it for them to not do it.

They will keep making them, over and over and over. but the same movies.

Just watch Spider-man rebooted, it'll have an origin, Uncle Ben dying, his first fight, first love, etc. Then 10 years and a few movies later, they'll reboot it again.

You're looking for continuity in a cohesive universe, and that's never, ever happen with a real-world movie.

Like I said, the form is still relatively new.

I think it's going to become the new way to deliver comics.

It's cool with me if someone disagrees as long as they're polite about it.

I believe there's too much money in it for them not to pour more into it.

It might even get to the point where it makes it to TV like a serial.

Eventually, as technology becomes cheaper (and it always does) good CGI will be easier and cheaper to make and it'll likely be just as easy and economical to make a good television or DVD flick as it is to make an animated one now.

CGI is already cheap, and in 2010 actually saves money compared to conventional FX, but talent isn't. These movies still need recognizable stars to get people in the seats, and not only is that ultra-expensive, but it's tough to keep them for any period of time.

Maybe a CGI animated movie/.series like The Incredibles?

Okay, who doesn't know the whole Spidey origin thing. Can't they just come right out of the gate running with a decent story as a re-boot? :hi:

Who's going to be the Red Skull?!

No idea, but them looking at Benigni (and the obvious Italian angle) is kind of worrisome. Then we have this retcon with Cap being a USO entertainer...

Looks like Captain Fruitball. doh!
