I posted this message on the ebay sellers forum:

 

When I first learnt of ebay's decision to remove sub-categories, I was furious.

No consultation with buyers and sellers and no actual benefits for anyone.

 

So my question to ebay and the community in general is this:

How can I, as a seller/buyer for many years, petition for this so called improvement to be reversed?

How can I make suggestions for change, that would be communicated to everyone, to gauge support or derision?

 

Ebay must realise that it has paying customers.

I pay them for a service.

Surely we as sellers should have some sort of input when it comes to changes that are implemented.

Changes that affect our auctions.

Atleast a cursory, even courteous, canvassing of users before something like this is even contemplated.

 

As ebay ever asked its uses about a change it was thinking of doing?

Or have they always rode rough-shot over its paying customers?

Very slight possibility of getting a general, non descript response.

 

Less than zero possibility of getting anything worth even reading.
