Is the term"white pages" really necessary on Modern books?

I've just been wondering about modern CGC graded books. Don't they all have "white pages"? Is that term really accurate when it comes to modern books? And really, technically, I don't think that term applies since publishers print over the entire surface of the page. What do you think?
