Removing Comic From Census

I recently removed my Incredible Hulk #161 from it's holder, and I want to have it removed from the census but I don't want to send the label back. Is there a way I can prove it was removed?

It will not be removed without surrendering the label to CGC.

One option might be to photocopy the label for reference but send it back to have the number removed.
