How difficult is it to find The first ALIENS VS PREDATOR in high grade?

Of course I'm talking Dark horse presents #36. My favorite is the black bordered painted cover. So how hard is it to find? I would figure with the combo of bad paper quality and black cover it's really hard to find.

I have found it very difficult. I have looked at 50 or 60 in the last year, including the ones that I had collected over the years. No 9.8 candidates and no strong 9.6 candidates. One that would be a soft 9.6, strong 9.4. It would not surprise me at all if there were cases of these out there, I just haven't found them.

Thank goodness. Thought you were talking about AVP # 0 or 1 for a sec. Both of those had _ginormous_ print runs, even for the time. Believe AVP # 1 was in the top 5 printed for that year.

 

DHP is definitely a fun run to collect. Scattered keys that are surprisingly hard to find.

You are not kidding.

 

DHP has some amazing material spead out across the run, and when you can find a nice high-grade of these books, you're crazy to sell it. They're too tough to find.
