No idea, I just know they're labeled as such at MCS. Here's my other one, a beautiful book with a detached centerfold that made it very affordable: Randall Dowling, oakman29, Jayman and 1 other

wombat
As long as it has the cover intact who cares.
Randall Dowling
I do love that cover. And of the 3, I find it to be the most difficult in high grade. Apparently, I inadvertently bought a bunch of the Fantucchio Warrens. The MCS grading is always mysterious to me. I've bought books they grade as 6.0-7.0 that sure look like they're closer to an 8.5-9.0 (not that I'm complaining, mind you). Others I've purchased are exactly what I'd expect for the grade. In any case, hard to go wrong buying raw books from them. OtherEric

I can think of maybe 1 that I would consider overgraded (and on a $2 VG/F I would call a VG- out of a $200 order I didn't care) and maybe 1 in 20 is accurately graded. Everything else is better than listed, generally between 1-2 points higher than what they list; although I did get one 5.0 book from them that the grading thread put at between a 9.0 and a 9.6 with a clean & press. (Note to self: get that book submitted when I get my bonus this year.) Randall Dowling and FoggyNelson
Popular Post OtherEric
Another Super Special in today. Popular Post Jayman
Three new pickups from Taylor G’s recent sale. The 43 was an upgrade from my original copy. Thumbing through it, I remembered it had that crazy Bigfoot vs the Abominable Snowman story in it and BAM! Just like that, I was an 8 yr old kid again reading it for the first time! oakman29, B16_Poppa, Stevemmg and 3 others
