So for the 3rd time in about a month we have a new record for a comic book sale at $1.5 Million.

Now if Dave Anderson "The Dentist" every gets his MH Action Comics #1 graded the asking price may be $10 Million now. ;) (9.2/9.4)

Good thing his kids are supposedly keeping it after he is gone.

lol fixed.

I do wonder how much the All American #16 MH CGC 9.4 would sell for. hm

Much higher grade book than the other 3 comics that broke the record, but again not as mainstream like Superman or Batman.

Million dollar book; same old dopey dime-store headline:

"Zap! Pow! Bam! Superman Wins Comic Books Wars..."

I have to wonder if the 60s Batman show hadn't been so popular if those tired cliches would still be used.

“This new record will be hard to break,” says ComicConnect.com co-owner and COO, Vincent Zurzolo. “Because this particular Action Comics #1 is literally the single most valuable comic book on the planet.”

Because he and everyone else in here knows that statement isn't true.

Then whats the most valuable comic book then?

It was already mentioned in this very thread.

Right now the Action Comics #1 CGC 8.5 is the most valuable book as the MH book has not been sold yet, so until it does his statement on paper is correct.

Also the MH's Action #1 has not even been graded yet by CGC so even though it will probably grade out at 9.2/9.4 it still not a flat out fact yet.

No it's not. It has currently sold for the most amount of money. That doesn't make it the most valuable comic book on the planet.

He said the new record will be hard to break, because this particular Action Comics #1 is literally the single most valuable comic book on the planet.

That's simply not true, and it's common knowledge within the hobby that the Dentist's copy would easily break this record if it were to be sold today.
