Looking for high res digital file of DD #505

12 posts in this topic

I googled a large clean jpeg, vectorized it and saved it out as an .eps file. Someone should be able to take it into Illustrator and enlarge it the size of a house if needed.

I've uploaded the EPS to MediaFire for downloading. Here's the link:

I hope that helps. :hi:

I downloaded the eps just to take a look - it opened up in Preview (took a bit to convert) on the mac and looks like some detail is lost (especially on the black figures below) - is that due to Preview or the conversion process?

It's a nice clean image so vectorizing this particular image works for blowing it up... Nice job. (thumbs u

The missing detail is because it's difficult to vectorize fine line shading unless you have a MASSIVE scan to start with.

Unfortunately I think it's due to the conversion process. Vectorizing re-interprets pixels into paths, do there is some loss of small finer details. Not much way around it. Sorry. :(

As an alternative... That cover image really lends itself to vector art. A graphic artist could use the jpeg as a template and (pen-tool) redraw the entire cover in Illustrator. It would take time, but it's doable.

Anyone here a Wacom tablet and badazz skillz? (shrug)
